Contruction set to begin

Starting as early as Thursday September 17th, construction is set to begin on the much anticipated Lane University Center renovation and expansion project. The start of the project brings with it some changes to the Lane University Center operation as well as the foot traffic patterns outside the Lane Center for the fall semester. REMEMBER THE LANE CENTER WILL REMAIN OPEN THIS SESMESTER DESPITE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES.

Construction fencing will go up late next week or the early the following week and as you can see from the picture above it will surround most of the building. We lose access to the clock tower entrance of the building and the side entrance facing Tawes Hall. The only entrance which will be accessible for the rest of the fall semester is the entrance closest to the library.

The pathway between the Lane Center and Tawes will also be closed. Students, faculty and staff will have to use Tawes Hall to pass between the Performing Arts building and the Dunkle Hall/Fine Arts quad.
